Multimedia + Instructional Designer
United Airlines, Flight Training Center
I wore a lot of hats—and helped turn ideas into stronger, more effective communication.
Working with United Airlines Pilot Development, my role extended far beyond creating individual design pieces. When I joined the team, there was an opportunity to strengthen how information, programs and initiatives were visually communicated to pilots and employees. I helped take projects from rough concepts, existing materials or simple requests and develop them into clearer, more engaging, brand-aligned experiences.
My work spanned multimedia design, training and instructional materials, environmental graphics, presentations, event collateral, digital communications, photography, animation and visual storytelling. I collaborated with teams to understand what they needed to communicate, then found a stronger way to bring it to life.
The goal wasn't just to make things look better. It was to make the communication work better.
Internal Event Communications
Working within a highly technical aviation environment meant translating complex information into visual experiences that were clear, engaging and easy to use — while maintaining United's established brand.
Technical + Operational Design
Working within a highly technical aviation environment meant translating complex information into visual experiences that were clear, engaging and easy to use — while maintaining United's established brand. Portable reference materials designed to keep essential scheduling, training and safety information readily accessible.
Learning + Instructional Design
Designing information for how people learn—not just how it looks.
Working with Pilot Development and subject-matter experts, I helped translate training concepts and technical information into structured visual experiences, from early storyboards through multimedia and eLearning content.

Photography + Visual Storytelling
Filling a visual gap through photography.
Pilot Development needed stronger, more authentic imagery to tell its stories and support internal communications. When the right photography wasn’t available, I stepped in—learning how to photograph events and people, direct subjects, plan compositions and visualize how the images would ultimately be used within the larger design.
Photography became another part of my creative toolkit, allowing me to capture real moments and create imagery with the final communication in mind.
Then I'd add a small bold statement among the photos:
I wasn’t just documenting the moment. I was thinking about how the image would tell the story.
PowerPoint + Presentation Design
Creating a stronger visual system for Pilot Development presentations.
I developed and supported presentation materials that gave teams flexible, brand-aligned ways to communicate training, fleet and operational information.
